League Update

By Donna Artis

On behalf of the League Management Committee, we would like to take the opportunity to wish all clubs, team officials and players all the best for Christmas and the New Year.

Thank you for supporting the league and for all your work in ensuring the ongoing success of the league in what are very challenging times.

As a reminder, the league recommences on 7th January. Please keep an eye on the Full Time system as there will be changes to the fixtures following the bad weather over the last two weekends and due to the cup fixtures in January. At the moment we have 5 teams through to the last 16 of the Lancashire Amateur Cup, with one team still to play an outstanding tie from the previous round. Four of our teams have been drawn against each other which does at least guarantee that two will be in the quarter finals. We also have two clubs who are progressing well in the Liverpool Cup competitions.

The Guildhall Cup (3rd round) and Lancastrian Brigade Cup (Preliminary/1st round) will be held in January so please can clubs ensure that they check the eligibility criteria and registration arrangements for players. The details can be found in the Standard Code Of Rules (SCOR) on the league website. If you have any questions, please let me know.

With Best Wishes,

Alan Stuttard
Secretary/Treasurer
