League Update Feb 2020

1. Club Resignation

Unfortunately I have to report that we have received notification of the resignation of another team. AFC Anderton in the Premier Division have advised that they are unable to continue for the remainder of the season due to player issues . In accordance with the Standard Code of Rules their results will be expunged from the records and the table adjusted accordingly.

2. League Meeting of Clubs

A reminder that the next League Meeting of Clubs will be held on Thursday 27 February at Bamber Bridge Catholic Club commencing at 7.30pm. If anybody has any matters to raise please let me know. This may be an opportunity if any club wishes to put forward any suggestions regarding the League Rules. These are considered at the AGM which will be the next meeting where clubs attend and the meeting on the 27th is an opportunity to raise matters and have them discussed before the AGM.

3. Weather

This season has probably been the worst on record for the weather and the impact it is having on fixtures. We would ask that clubs are as flexible as possible particularly regarding switching fixtures to the opposition ground. Some clubs have also used 3G pitches and we are aware that this can result in additional cost .
