New Season 2022/23 and Annual General Meeting

By Donna Artis

Advance notification of the start of the season and details of the AGM

Just to give you plenty of advance notice and to let you know of the plans for the first 4 weeks of the season.

The season will start on the 13 August. This is a week earlier than normal but is partly due to the World Cup and possible disruption if the home countries play on a Saturday and also to give us as much flexibility for the season and avoid a backlog at the end which causes problems for the Fixtures Secretary and teams fulfilling their fixtures.

Over the first 4 weeks we are planning to have mid week fixtures as well. Overall this will give us 8 playing days :

Saturdays - August 13,20,27 and September 3

Mid Week - August 16,23,30 and September 6

However we are not expecting everyone to play on all 8 days. The aim is to get each team to play 4/5 fixtures. To help with the planning all teams will have 2 lives to apply for the 4 week period. Please notify Peter Jones the Fixtures Secretary in good time when you would like the lives to apply - the 27 August is the Bank Holiday weekend. We will remind teams of this over the coming weeks .

Teams will still have 1 life after this period as well.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

I will be sending out details of the AGM shortly. The aim is for this to be held on Thursday 23 June but I just need to confirm the venue details.

Any questions please let me know.

Alan Stuttard.
