Football action heats up with thrilling victories and hard-fought draws in this weekend's fixtures

Premiership
In a tightly contested match, Bickerstaffe emerged victorious over Tarleton Corinthians with a lone goal by Alex Grisedale, securing a 1-0 win.
Meanwhile, Highgrove claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Eccleston & Heskin, courtesy of Luke Bradley's goal.
The fixture between Preston Wanderers and Newburgh Harrock was declared a home walkover.
Shevington FC faced a tough defeat against Standish St Wilfrid’s, succumbing to a 1-4 loss. Shevington's lone goal came from Edward Braitwaite, while Standish found the net through Josef Dineley, Johan Du Toit, and James Harrison (twice).
Unfortunately, the match between Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs and Walmer Bridge was postponed.

Division One
Appley Bridge and Norcross battled to a 2-2 draw, with Liam Hilton and substitute Charlie Mills scoring for Appley Bridge, countered by Norcross's subs Paul Cook and Barry Davenport.
Astley FC and Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs Reserves shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. The scorer for Astley in the 35th minute remains unknown, while Tom Haworth, playing as a striker, equalized for S&A in the 40th minute, assisted by Ben McKittrick.
Cherrybrook faced a narrow 3-4 defeat against Burscough Dynamo, despite goals from Jack Crowther (twice) and substitute Joe Orme. Burscough secured the win through Dylan Kenyon (twice), Lewis Corke, and Bradley Fanning.
Ribchester Rovers claimed a home walkover against Fleetwood Hesketh.
In another fixture, Standish St Wilfrid’s fell to Hoole United with a 0-2 defeat, with Toby Foster and Adam Thomas on the scoresheet for Hoole.

Division Two
Gables FC dominated their match against Wyre Villa Reserves, securing a convincing 6-1 victory. Richard Coley and Jordan Griffiths each netted hat-tricks for Gables, while Wyre's lone goal came from Jacob Ward.
Middleton & Overton Sports FC were awarded a home walkover against Bickerstaffe Reserves, rounding off the weekend's fixtures.
