Premiership
In an unusual turn of events, Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs claimed a home walkover against Highgrove, securing three points without kicking a ball. The circumstances leading to the walkover remain undisclosed, adding intrigue to the result.

Division Two
Gables FC dominated the field, securing a convincing 5-1 victory against AFC Ainsdale. Jordan Griffiths showcased exceptional skill with a hat-trick, while Craig Ronald also contributed to the goal tally. AFC Ainsdale's lone goal scorer remains unknown, adding an element of mystery to the match.

Guildhall Cup - Round 3
A thrilling encounter unfolded as Walmer Bridge and Burscough Dynamo battled to a 1-1 draw, eventually settled by a penalty shootout. George Thomas found the net for Walmer, but Bradley Fanning's goal for Burscough Dynamo ensured the shootout drama that saw Burscough emerge victorious with a 5-4 scoreline.

Lancastrian Brigade Cup - Round 1
Cherrybrook delivered a commanding performance, routing New Longton Rovers Reserves with an impressive 8-0 victory. Multiple goal-scorers, including Joe Orme, Rhys Nealen, Joseph Libertini, Robbie Heaton, Aaron Reid, Hack Crowther, and Harrison Fleming, highlighted Cherrybrook's attacking prowess.

Fleetwood Hesketh showcased their dominance with a 4-1 triumph over Broughton Amateurs AFC Reserves. Frankie Pearson netted twice, while Robert Hardaker and Ross Whitehead also contributed to Fleetwood's goal tally. Broughton's lone scorer remains unidentified.

A closely contested match between Standish St Wilfrids Reserves and Astley FC Reserves ended in a 2-2 draw, ultimately decided by a penalty shootout. Andrew Dickson and James Williamson scored for Standish, while Adam Caunce and Charles Young found the net for Astley. Jake Whitelock from Astley FC was named the player of the match.

As the football fever grips fans, the Lancastrian Brigade Cup experiences a delay with five additional matches postponed until January 27th. This development adds to the anticipation for the rescheduled encounters, promising an action-packed weekend ahead.
