Weekend Showdowns: Goals Galore and Drama Unfold Across Divisions

Premiership

Standish St Wilfrid's secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Shevington FC, with Johan Du Toit netting the decisive goal for Standish.
Meanwhile, Eccleston & Heskin played out a thrilling 3-3 draw against Preston Wanderers. Eccleston's goals came from Jordan Aird, Joseph Morrall, and Ryan Thompson, while Preston responded with strikes from Lewis Scanlon (twice) and Charlie Swindlehurst.
In another fixture, Newburgh Harrock United and Highgrove settled for a 1-1 draw, with Louis Burke scoring for Newburgh, while Highgrove's scorer remains undisclosed.
Additionally, S&A Amateurs faced a 1-4 defeat against Tarleton Corinthians, with Thomas Taylor-Hampson scoring the lone goal for S&A, countered by Lewis Bannister, George David Carrington (twice), and substitute Joshua Robinson for Tarleton.

Division One

Hoole United dominated with a 4-1 victory over Standish St Wilfrids Reserves, courtesy of goals from Alfie Parker and Adam Thomas, who each scored twice, while Ben Flynn found the net for Standish St Wilfrids.
Meanwhile, Sir Tom Finney suffered a heavy 1-6 defeat against Astley FC, with Zechariah Smith scoring for STF, and Jack Brindle completing a hat-trick for Astley, supported by goals from Connor Geddes and Luke Robinson.

Division Two

Cube FC secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Middleton & Overton Sports FC, although the scorers for Cube remain undisclosed.
Gables FC showcased their prowess with an impressive 8-0 victory over New Longton Rovers Reserves, with Richard Coley leading the charge with a hat-trick, supported by goals from Jordan Griffiths (twice), Dylan Tierney, Tom Dearden, and substitute Luke Wilson.
Additionally, Shevington FC Reserves suffered a narrow 2-3 defeat against Wyre Villa Reserves, despite Christopher Bennett's double strikes for Shevington, as Wyre emerged victorious with goals from Ashley Bradshaw and James Lawrenson (twice).
Lastly, Ribchester Rovers Reserves faced a 2-4 defeat against Bickerstaffe Reserves, with the scorers for both teams remaining unidentified.
