Out of the scheduled 10 fixtures, only half were able to proceed as planned due to adverse weather conditions. Rain and inclement weather disrupted play, highlighting the unpredictable nature of outdoor sports and the challenges faced by organizers and players alike in managing such circumstances.

Premiership

Tarleton Corinthians secured a narrow victory against Shevington FC in a thrilling encounter, finishing 3-2. Tarleton's goals came from George David Carrington, who netted twice, and Tom Swainson. Unfortunately, the scorers for Shevington were not documented.

Division One

Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs Reserves emerged triumphant with a 2-1 win over Hoole United. Jack Osborne opened the scoring for S&A in the 14th minute, followed by a crucial goal from substitute Oliver Morton in the 72nd minute. Hoole's lone goal came from substitute George Roe.

Division Two

Astley FC Reserves displayed an impressive performance, defeating Bickerstaffe Reserves 5-2. Bickerstaffe managed to find the net through goals from Stephen Brookes and Lewis Watkin, but it wasn't enough to match Astley's prowess. James Knott shone for Astley with an impressive four-goal haul, supported by Adam Henshall.
Meanwhile, Wyre Villa reserves dominated their fixture against Broughton Amateurs Reserves, securing a resounding 8-0 victory. Ashley Bradshaw led the scoring with an outstanding four-goal contribution, while Nathan Crosbie added a brace, and James Lawrenson and Danny Wilson each chipped in with a goal, sealing a comprehensive win for Wyre Villa.

Guildhall Cup - Semi Final

In a highly anticipated Guildhall Cup semi-final showdown, Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs delivered a masterclass performance, securing a commanding 5-0 victory over Bickerstaffe. From the opening whistle, Southport & Ainsdale asserted their dominance, dictating play and leaving Bickerstaffe scrambling to keep pace. The first half proved decisive as Southport & Ainsdale surged to a formidable 3-0 lead by halftime, courtesy of clinical finishes from Connor Tierney, Christy Devlin, and Tom Howarth.

The second half witnessed a continuation of Southport & Ainsdale's relentless attacking display, with their cohesive teamwork and individual brilliance shining through. Connor Tierney continued to torment the Bickerstaffe defense, adding another goal to complete his brace and further solidify Southport & Ainsdale's grip on the match. Tom Howarth also found the back of the net for the second time, capping off a stellar performance and effectively sealing Southport & Ainsdale's passage to the final.

This resounding victory not only propelled Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs into the final of the Guildhall Cup but also served as a statement of their championship aspirations. With their potent attacking prowess and solid defensive organisation, they showcased their credentials as formidable contenders for the tournament title. Meanwhile, Bickerstaffe will reflect on this defeat and look to regroup, drawing lessons from the experience as they aim to bounce back stronger in future campaigns.
